The Lizton Trading Post is the quintessential representation of the “mom & pop” gun shop. Owned by Hahn & Jennifer Altman, along with one of their 3 sons, Ethan Altman.
We Take customer service serious. While we can’t always be perfect, we will always try our best to take care of our customers. Some things though are outside our control, such as shipping services. We will however communicate with you throughout the process. We specialize in ordering those very specific wants & needs. We can usually find the “hard to get” items. If the item is in stock, handguns usually take 3 days to arrive, and long guns take 4-5 days to arrive.
We are also happy to take care of our customers that like to look for those online deals. We will accept your online purchases from other FFL dealers. Our transfer price is $45 per firearm.

As of March 1st 2025 we have been open to the public for 4 years. Located at 501 N State St in Lizton Indiana. We are a brick & mortar store that is open 6 days a week. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 11am to 7pm, Sunday 11am to 4pm. WE ARE CLOSED ON TUESDAY.
